  1. I’m in the process of writing about the local fort that was built in our town during the Victorian era. Until I started to research the army life, especially for the wives and children, did I realise just how dire it was for them. These sorts of stories fascinate me.

My goal is for history to come alive for you whether it be in a Civil War field hospital, an experimental Utopian society or in the dark-paneled rooms of Gilded Age socialites.
