Agreed! Kris and I were just discussing the fact that we now seem to have two Saturdays and have decided to center our weekend around Sunday and Monday – or ‘Moonday’ – the Sun and the Moon… seems logical enough. Furthermore it seemed to make more sense to enjoy the more leisurely of the two days first, as after a week of hard work its nice to simply enjoy a day of rest and relaxation when a day off comes around. Monday then becomes the day for exploration, hikes, bike rides and adventure… with the added bonus of everyone else being at work and therefore all the fun places are less crowded.
We both love Sunday by the way and steadfastly refuse to partake of anything remotely commercial – its our day and ours alone.
Well said. When we first started taking Sunday off I felt restless and annoyed but after a few weeks of it I really looked forward to the peace of it and felt a real sense of refreshment the next day. I like your idea of a Moonday 🙂

We *all* need a day of rest. More than one, if possible! 😉
