I love finding just what you want in old magazines (Frank Leslie’s) and the stocks for gold mines advertised in Arizona will land a few of my main characters into big trouble–as usual.

When you write historical…don’t you just love when this happens. You run across some obscure piece of history that has its own tale.

YES! I was looking for something about Saratoga and came across the mining ad–the wording of the ad will definitely be used in book five of my series. I was wondering how I might make a certain character get involved in the shady dealings of land rights and scams involving mining and this just popped up. Of course sexual potions and books always interest me. I have a feeling one of my characters will give the book as a birthday present. 🙂
