    BTW, loved your book. It’s steeped in well-researched history from the characters to the setting to the plot. Even the pacing. Nicely done.

      1. In the summer, lazing under this tree, they gossiped and told jokes. In the winter, in front of a blazing fire, they spoke of dreams and ideas and abstract concepts.

    1. Natural fibers definitely help! Maybe it was the knowledge that they looked so adorable that made it okay. I used to think Upstate NY was really cold but now I’m used to it, so who knows!
