Hidden Killers in the Victorian Home

  1. I just looked at the intro. Where do you find this stuff? You must have loved it. What’s next? Hidden killers in Upstate New York farms? Well you know one of them – the fox in the hen house.

  2. This really is a fascinating video. Scalded to death in one’s bath! I kept watching the video to see which horror the poor Victorians were subjected to next! Thanks for sharing this.

    • The staircases got me. We used to live in a two family house–a real handy-man special. Thinking back I can’t believe we survived. One set of stairs was very narrow and curved at the bottom. We weren’t supposed to have cats so I never told the landlord that one of the steps actually fell through because if she came in she’d discover the felines. We could see down to the first story!

We all got used to jumping the final step–even our young kids. I was a little crazy back then. I’m glad social services didn’t come in and see the step!
