Perhaps Adam Swift should find a new job – say, as cashier at Mc Donald’s. As for not reading to our kids because it disadvantages some unidentified tot – keep this guy away from all kids and there will be far fewer who are disadvantaged.
What can I say? This is exactly the kind of leftist BS happening in Education in France at the moment. Since a portion of the population is increasingly illiterate, let us all lower the global level to make the poor unfortunate feel better. A short-lived (6 months) Minister of Education wanted to abolish grades as they de-motivate the students… Tut. Tut. Tut…Hello?
(Thank you for sharing, Adrienne. I will start reading to our first grandson – 2 weeks saturday – this very week-end) 😉
I think we should hold a book burning–all children’s books! Especially the classics–in fact, let’s get rid of classics altogether. I’m jealous of people with talent–so burn them all (I mean their books!) LOL
Wait. You just made a judgment call–you said “lowest level.” Oh no, I think I hear the boots of the thought police just around the bend, Derrick! Hide in your flower garden and I’ll let you know when it’s safe to come out again! 🙂

Did you see who wrote it? She’s always going after the laugh, so maybe it’s exaggerated? Or is it exagerrated?

Well, it’s hard to get past the guy’s exact quotes. I want to laugh, but then I don’t. 🙂
