For me the tension is between my internal life where I can sit in my pajamas all day and write or paint, and the external one where I have to put on decent clothes and smell nice.

Yes, two times last week I got the times and dates of appointments wrong. I was still in my pajama mode (or unshowered to be more exact) when I suddenly realized I was supposed to be at a meeting with a bunch of female educators who obviously groomed themselves for the day. I didn’t even take my coat off!
