As many of you know MY NOVELS are set in Civil War and post-Civil War America. I thought it would be fun each week to focus on a different year of music from 1860-1900. Maybe my characters were listening to these songs back in the day. ENJOY.

When You and I Were Young, Maggie got me this week. For whatever reason I’ve been thinking about our limited number of years… wait I know what will help–a trip to this week’s county fair! I think taking in an equestrian show while eating funnel cake is sure to help. Have a great week, Shari.

Oh my gosh, you should have seen us shoveling in the funnel cake at our fair earlier this summer. We love the county fair here, and if I didn’t dislike driving so much, I’d go to the fairs at the nearby counties.

After a morning of having to listen to call centre Four Seasons, what bliss it was to listen to these songs.
