What They Listened To: 1873

As many of you know MY NOVELS are set in Civil War and post-Civil War America. I thought it would be fun each week to focus on a different year of music from 1860-1900. Maybe my characters were listening to these songs back in the day. ENJOY.

  2. What a wistful rendition of Home on the Range – Neil Young sings it perfectly. This was one of my dad’s favorite songs.
    And Swing Low – absolutely gorgeous – the Fisk choir sings with passion.
    I love that they are both a capella.


    1. I’d never heard this version of Home on the Range before. Gave me a whole new respect for Neil Young.
