“Life, within doors, has few pleasanter prospects than a neatly-arranged and well-provisioned breakfast-table.” Nathaniel Hawthorne, The House of the Seven Gables
Adrienne, I don’t know how you do it – manage a huge farm, write a half dozen well researched books, raise kids, and still stand upright most of the day. Photos of your farm are inviting – the funny goats with their heads sticking through the fence, mama sheep with her lambs, sunrise over the winter landscape. Enchanting, all.

Love those sweet animal faces! And now you’ve inspired me to get my own breakfast table going 🍳

I need to inspire myself! I took this picture at a local historical house museum. LOL. My table has books and folded clothes on it most of the day.

I’m a little perplexed, why is there a ‘fallen over glass’ on your lovely breakfast table?

Haha. It’s a prop. The picture was taken at an old house museum, but it’s funny that I didn’t even notice the spill until you pointed it out. 😉

I find raising children to be the most draining of the things you mentioned. Taking care of the animals and writing books give me energy. 🙂
